Product Description
The WattBox® 150 Series IP Power Outlets Ultra Compact gives you flexible IP power control in a small, easy-to-place form factor. With 1 controlled bank and 2 outlets, this WattBox can be used wired or wirelessly, giving you more freedom to place it wherever it is needed while still offering the reliability of a wired connection when preferred.
With the power of OvrC remote management, the WattBox 150 helps reduce service calls and truck rolls by allowing you to reset, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot connected devices remotely. Its compact size makes it ideal for digital signage, smart TVs, video conferencing equipment, network devices, CCTV recorders, A/V racks, and other hard-to-reach electronics.
Note: The WB-150-IPW-1B-2 outlets are controlled together on a single relay bank. This model does not provide surge protection or power conditioning. Wireless functionality is activated after setup through the local web interface and after disconnecting the wired LAN connection.
Product Features
WattBox Goes Wireless
The WattBox 150-IPW gives you the freedom to add IP power control without always needing to run network wire. It can work both wired and wirelessly, giving you more installation options depending on the job. With its affordable price point and OvrC support, it is easy to add WattBox control to more projects, helping eliminate unnecessary truck rolls and giving you a simple way to remotely reset locked-up devices.
Small & Mighty
Do not let the compact size fool you. The WattBox 150 is an ultra-compact, IP-controllable, UL Certified power product that works with OvrC remote management. It delivers many of the same control and troubleshooting benefits as larger WattBox models, making it useful for powering and controlling racks, digital signage, a single NVR, smart TVs, fish tanks, or other smaller power-draining devices.
The Essential WattBox
Because the IP WattBox can fit a wide range of jobs and budgets, it is a useful tool to keep on hand for installs. Features like auto-reboot, scheduled power cycles, and remote power control help save time and money. With OvrC, you can proactively solve issues before they become bigger problems, notify clients when a concern has been resolved, and even use IP WattBox products as part of an ongoing monthly tech support or recurring revenue model.
Every Spot, Every Job
The flexible form factor makes the WattBox 150 useful in many different installation scenarios. The detachable IEC cord can be paired with WattBox IEC cords in different lengths and styles to fit the needs of the job. Short extension cord pigtails also help accommodate larger plugs and wall warts.
Common uses include:
- Auto-rebooting a network from a structured wiring can or behind a smart TV
- Remotely rebooting CCTV recorders
- Creating a control system command to power cycle an auditorium DSP
- Scheduling workstations, POS systems, or other energy-heavy systems to power down at night
Take Control
The WB-150 is designed to power and control important devices such as frozen streaming devices, non-responsive network video recorders, wall-mounted racks, modems, and routers. By controlling critical network components, you can restore connectivity and help get clients back online quickly. The WB-150-IP-1B-2 hardwired model offers reliable wired control when that is the preferred setup.
Control System Integration & IP WattBox API
WattBox 150 Series devices are compatible with popular control systems, including Control4, Crestron, Elan, RTI, and URC. They also support a next-generation Telnet API, allowing you to program custom features, create unique system integrations, or deploy and monitor WattBox products across large numbers of sites. The Telnet API can be used with third-party control systems, monitoring platforms, or custom solutions.
Three Ways to Prevent Service Calls & Truck Rolls
WattBox provides three lines of defense to help fix issues and reduce service calls: self-healing auto reboot, the OvrC Home client app, and OvrC remote management.
Self-Healing Auto Reboot
WattBox power products can monitor connectivity and automatically reboot a troubled device when the connection is lost, based on your programmed settings. You can also schedule regular reboots through the local UI or the OvrC platform.
Client-Facing App
OvrC Home is a free mobile app included with WattBox IP products. It allows clients to resolve small issues on their own by resetting devices connected to WattBox outlets. You can also set up macros that perform a series of commands. If the client still needs support, your company logo and contact information are easy to access within the app.
OvrC Remote Management
With OvrC, you can reboot devices, adjust configurations, update firmware, and manage systems remotely from a desktop or mobile app. If a WattBox goes offline, OvrC can send detailed notifications so you can address the issue before the customer notices. With OvrC Pro, you gain access to even more diagnostics and troubleshooting tools across OvrC-enabled products.
